Q & A
-
We recommend that students wait until they are 9 years old to begin voice lessons, for developmental reasons. The voice undergoes significant changes during early childhood, making it challenging to teach & sing effectively. For students under 9 years old, we recommend starting with piano lessons since it provides such a strong musical foundation for future voice training.
-
Yes! You are never too old for voice lessons. If you were told you couldn't sing when you were younger, let us show you that you can. Check out our Adult Programs page to learn more.
-

-
We do not provide makeup lessons for student absences. Please let your teacher know by phone ahead of time if you are feeling unwell and will not be able to attend your lesson. It is not healthy or effective to sing while sick. If you are well enough, you can opt for a virtual/Zoom music theory lesson, or your teacher will send homework and suggestions for continuing your musical learning until your next lesson.
