PIANO SUMMER CAMPS

We are offering 4 week-long camps this summer! Beginners are welcome to join one of our two “Jump Start” piano camps, while more seasoned students can flex their skills in our Video Game Music & Taylor Swift piano camps.

The image presents a table detailing summer piano camps. It includes four camps: "Jump Start Piano Camp 1" from June 17-21 and "Jump Start Piano Camp 2" from June 24-28 for beginners ages 5-8, both from 9 am to 12 pm; "Video Game Piano Camp" from July 22-26, and "Taylor Swift Piano Camp" from July 29 to August 2 for students with over three years of experience, ages 10 to teen, both from 10 am to 1 pm. Each camp costs $275.

Jump Start Piano Camp

Jump Start Piano is a fun, interactive camp experience for kids with no prior piano training. Packed with learning, kids who complete the 5-day camp will emerge knowing how to play several songs on the piano with confidence, plus how to read basic rhythms and notes on the staff.

For beginners ages 5-8.

Taylor Swift Piano Camp

Is Your Swiftie in Their Piano Era?

Make their “Wildest Dreams” come true with Hoffman Academy’s 5-day Taylor Swift Piano Camp!

This July, join Academy Director Matt Sazima for a musical journey through Taylor Swift’s many “eras”! Designed for young musicians aged 10 to teen with at least 3 years of piano experience, this interactive camp will have your student exploring three of Taylor’s “eras” and playing her greatest hits including:

  • “Love Story,” from her Fearless era, part of her country pop phase;
  • “Blank Space,” from the 1989 era, representing her pop transformation;
  • and – just like Taylor does at every stop on her Eras Tour – a Surprise Song!

All the while they’ll learn about crafting a melody, chord arrangements, and ear training…perhaps setting the stage for them to be the next international superstar!

We’ve got a Blank Space – and we’re ready to write your Swiftie’s name!

For Swifties 10-teen with 3+ years piano experience.

Note on Sheet Music: Families will be informed about song selections to purchase from sheetmusicdirect.com for under $20 total.

Not local to Portland? Check out our Virtual Taylor Swift Piano Camp happening one week earlier!

Video Game Piano Camp

Level up your piano skills! This 5-day journey through the world of video game music, with its fast-paced, quirky arrangements, is a great place for young gamers to improve their musicianship — and have fun — this summer!

For students 10-teen with 3+ years piano experience.
